These cases commonly arise when unmarried couples separate, relatives disagree over a family property, friends purchase a home together or someone contributes money to a property registered in another person&#8217;s name.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike divorce proceedings, the court is not deciding what outcome would be broadly fair.
